The LaRue County High School competitive cheer squad won a regional championship on November 19 at Nelson County High School. The team won the All-Girls Medium division and they now advance to the KHSAA Competitive Cheer Championships on Saturday, December 10 at the Alltech Arena in Lexington.
"The cheerleaders of LCHS went out and gave one of their best performances to date. This group of young athletes have been through some rough patches this year. Just as of this week we were reworking due to injury," said Head Coach Danielle VanderMolen. "These girls pulled it together and gave a good show. I was thrilled to see them achieve this goal and hope they are ready to put in the work to go to state.”
